Spodumene belongs to monoclinic crystal system, and the crystals are usually columnar, granular or plate-like. Color is gray, grey-green, purple or yellow, hardness 6.5-7, density 3.03-3.22g/cm³. As raw material of lithium chemical products, it is widely used in lithium chemical industry, glass, ceramic industry, and enjoys the reputation of "industrial MONOsodium glutamate".
The application of spodumene in ceramics, metallurgy, porcelain picking, special glass, chemical industry is developing rapidly and expanding day by day. According to the use, chemical composition and smelting process requirements, spodumene is divided into three categories: chemical spodumene, ceramic spodumene and low iron spodumene.
스포듀민은 리튬 산업의 주요 광물 공급원이기 때문에 화학 원료를 만드는 데에도 사용됩니다. 단조, 열수 침출, 증발-결정화 공정을 포함한 수산화 리튬 생산과 같이; 일부는 먼저 스포듀민을 연소시킨 다음 황산과 반응하여 황산 리튬을 생산하거나 소다를 사용하여 탄산 리튬으로 전환합니다. 리튬 금속은 전기 분해를 통해 간단한 리튬 화합물에서 얻을 수 있습니다. 탄산 리튬은 알루미늄 산업에서도 증가하는 속도로 사용됩니다. 알루미늄 환원 셀을 추가하면 용융 욕조의 전도도가 증가하고 작동 온도가 낮아지며 출력이 증가합니다.
