About Slag:

Slag is a melt generated in the process of fire metallurgy floating on the surface of liquid materials such as metal.The composition of slag is mainly oxide (silica, alumina, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide).It also contains sulfide and enrol a small amount of metal.

According to the different metallurgical processes, slag can be divided into smelting slag, refining slag, synthetic slag; according to the properties of slag, there are alkaline slag, acid slag and neutral slag.

Slag Usage:

Blast furnace slag can be used as cement raw material. High phosphorus residue can be used as fertilizer. The slag containing vanadium and titanium can be used as raw materials for refining vanadium and titanium respectively. Some slag can be used to make slag cement, slag brick, slag glass and so on.
