About Barite powder: Barite is a non-metallic mineral product with barium sulfate (BaSO4) as the main component. Barite is chemically stable, insoluble in water and hydrochloric acid, non-magnetic and toxic. Pure colorless transparent, containing impurities when dyed into a variety of colors, stripes white, glass luster, transparent to translucent. The three groups have complete cleavage, and the included Angle is equal to or nearly 90°. Mohs hardness 3 ~ 3.5, specific gravity 4.0 ~ 4.6. Identification characteristics: plate-like crystals, low hardness, complete cleavage at nearly right angles, high density, no foaming in case of hydrochloric acid, and thus distinguished from similar calcite.
