About Steel slag: Steel slag is a by-product of the steel making process. It is composed of silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur and other impurities in pig iron in the process of smelting oxidation of various oxides and these oxides and solvent reaction to produce salts. Steel slag contains a variety of useful components: iron 2% ~ 8%, calcium oxide 40% ~ 60%, magnesium oxide 3% ~ 10%, manganese oxide 1% ~ 8%.It can be used as raw materials for iron and steel metallurgy. Steel slag is clinker, remelting phase.Its melting temperature is low. When remelting, the liquid phase forms early and the fluidity is good. The steel slag is divided into three kinds: electric furnace steel slag, open hearth steel slag and converter steel slag.
