Bauxite

About Bauxite: The main component of bauxite  is alumina.It is containing impurities of hydrated alumina and it is a kind of soil mineral. The color of bauxite is white or off-white, brownish yellow or light red due to iron.

Bauxite Usage:

⑴ Aluminum smelting industry. Bauxite is used in national defense, aviation, automotive, electrical appliances, chemical, daily necessities, etc.

⑵ Precision casting. Bauxite clinker is processed into fine powder and then cast. It is used in military, aerospace, communications, instrumentation, machinery and medical equipment sectors.

(3)It is used for refractory products. High bauxite clinker refractoriness up to 1780℃, strong chemical stability, good physical properties.

⑷ Aluminum silicate refractory fiber. The advantages of bauxite are light weight, high temperature resistance, good thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, small heat capacity and mechanical vibration resistance. It is used in iron and steel, nonferrous metallurgy, electronics, petroleum, chemical, aerospace, atomic energy, national defense and other industries. It is put the high aluminum clinker into the melting temperature of about 2000 ~ 2200℃ high temperature electric arc furnace, after high temperature melting, high pressure high-speed air or steam spray, cooling, becomes the white "cotton" - aluminum silicate refractory fiber. It can be pressed into fiber blanket, board or woven into cloth instead of smelting, chemical, glass and other industrial high temperature kiln lining refractory brick.

(5) Magnesia and bauxite clinker are used in pouring steel barrel lining as raw material, adding appropriate binder.

(6)The alumina cement, abrasive materials, ceramic industry and chemical industry can be made into aluminum compounds.
