About Mandelic Acid: Mandelic acid, also known as bitter amygdalic acid, is a white rhombic flake crystal. It’s melting point is 119 ℃. Soluble in hot water,isopropyl alcohol and ethanol. Overexposured,it may be discolored and decomposited. It can be produced by benzaldehyde and dibromoacetophenone. It is used in organic synthesis. it is a special reagent for determination of zirconium.

Mandelic Acid Usage:

Mandelic acid is used as a preservative (urine). It is also used as a short-term exposure biomarker in the urine of workers exposed to styrene.

Special reagent for zirconium, determination of copper, organic synthesis, fungicide.
